SickleCare ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Your email address, username, and selected language when you register.
• Health Data: Medications, water intake logs, daily check-ins (mood, pain level, notes), and sickle cell disease type. This data is entered by you voluntarily.
• Profile Information: Your emergency contact number and sickle cell type.
• Usage Data: Basic app usage information to improve our service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to:

• Provide and operate the app's health tracking features
• Send you push notifications for medications and check-ins (only if you enable them)
• Generate your PDF health reports
• Improve the app and fix technical issues

We do not sell your personal or health data to third parties. Ever.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with encryption in transit and at rest. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. We apply industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and database storage
• RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management
• Apple App Store / Google Play — Payment processing for subscriptions
• Expo (Expo Notifications) — Push notification delivery (device token stored on device)

Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to function.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data (via Profile → Delete Account)
• Export your health data as a PDF report

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your health data, profile information, and account credentials are permanently deleted from our systems.

8. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
